New York City

Honoring a lifetime of research and a legacy shaped by the sea.

This March, Harry F. Martin presented his enlightening biography of Captain Nathaniel B. Palmer in a historical gathering at the New York Yacht Club. A moment of appreciation from Nick Martin, recognizing his father’s extensive and measured reassessment of Palmer’s maritime legacy.

Home to over 13,000 meticulously crafted ship models, NYYC’s Model Room also stands within one of New York’s most distinctive baroque buildings. Always a insightful visit.
